The Crocodile Nativity

Tonight I took Brynn & Ellany to the "Festival of the Nativity" - our second annual trip. For one weekend, the chapel across the street from the Orlando Temple fills the gym with hundreds of beautiful and unique nativities...every kind you can imagine! Ellany's favorite was the Little People nativity, Brynn loved the one made out of potatoes(!), and I had many favorites including the delft one from Holland (must be my dutch heritage).

Yesterday we were talking about the festival and Brynn had an idea. Being the creative genius that she is, Brynn decided to make her own nativity. Out of crocodiles...what else? She took old clothes out of the rag bag to make them all outfits, and used LOTS of tape. Below you can see her masterpiece, created entirely without help. Starting from the bottom left going clockwise - 3 kings, goat, camel, Joseph, Mary, shepherd with staff, sheep. Baby Jesus is in the center and a lizard angel with wings and Cheerio halo overlooks the scene from atop the stable. I love it!!! However, I am a little worried that those farm animals won't last long...

  4. WOW! That's all I can say. What an amazing child we have, my sweetheart Brynn. I worry that when she gets to that age when most girls want a pony that she'll want something about that size, but with scales, short legs and a long tale. Something that would eats all her frineds' ponies.
